Hi Everyone!
I hope you had a FANTASTIC 3-Day Weekend!  I've been in my craft room working on some cards and I wanted to share one with you.  It is a 5"x 7" (my preference) Card for a friend who just purchased a new home.

I started with a 10" x 7" piece of white Card stock for the base then scored and folded it in half.  The Mat Layer is cut from GLACIER Cardstock at 4.9" x 6.8" - or just cut a 5" x 7" and trim a bit off the sides to have the white showing as a small border.  Next, cut  another layer of white at about 4.6" x 5.1" (or eyeball this as well.

For the Starburst layer - you can select 3-4 prints of paper of your choice - or use up some of those 2" scraps that we all tend to save.  You'll want to cut them as shown in the left picture below, and randomly layer them as shown on the right.  Make sure the corner pieces are long enough to reach to the corner.

It's okay for the pieces to hang off the edge - You're going to snip those overhanging pieces off flush with the edge anyway.
Next, layer the base, glacier mat, and sunburst layer.
Welcome Tag:
This tag is cut with the CTMH "Artistry" Cartridge.  I LOVE this cartridge and can see myself using it for all sorts of cards.  If you don't have it - please shop with me.  You can even getting it digitally at a lower cost and have immediate access!

The layers are as follows:
Shape:   #M416DFB  page 26 - Cut left version of "SHAPE" only.
1 each of 2.3"   2.6"   and  3.23"  Note:  Largest layer is Embossed.
Banner:  #M4184959  3/4"
For the Paper, I used the gorgeous papers from the Zoe Paper Pack and also the new GOLD Glitter Paper in the new Annual Inspirations.

I used Dimensionals to pop up the Shape and some Gold thin thread around the base.  The cute Gold Buttons are these awesome Bling Gems that I use a LOT!

The Stamps I used are A1179 Housewarming Hello and C1596 Happy Hexagons.
The Sentiment was stamped in Saffron and traced with a glitter pen.

I hope you enjoy the card.  PLEASE like and leave a comment.  Your COMMENTS mean SO MUCH TO ME!!!!

Have a great week!
Jennie

Understanding different types of INK PADS

If you're like me, sometimes it's hard to know which Ink to use when! Here is an overview of the Ink Pads that CTMH carries and when best to use them!

CTMH Exclusive Inks™ stamppads: Our Exclusive Inks™ stamp pads, including our Black Exclusive Inks pads, are water-based dye inks. The dye ink absorbs directly into your paper and allows the colors to blend easily with the material. They dry quickly and blend easily. These inks are recommended for most stamping projects, but not for projects where you plan on using watercolors or coloring with alcohol markers after stamping the image.

CTMH Archival BlackExclusive Inks™ stamp pad: Our Archival Black Exclusive Inks™ stamp pad is our archival ink offering. This pad quickly sets an image that you can then color in using watercolor pencils, watercolors, or water-based inks with the blending pen.

CTMHExclusive Inks™ Mini Pigment Pad Sets: Pigment inks behave differently from dye inks, in that they settle on top of your material rather than soaking into it. This allows you to stamp lighter colors on darker materials and to keep the true color of the ink pad when stamping on another color. Though they take longer to dry, when dried, they work well for coloring in with your markers or watercolor inks, as the pigment inks will form a permanent bond and will resist blending when you color over them.

StazOn™ ink pad: StazOn™ is specifically formulated for stamping on non-porous materials. Because StazOn is solvent-based, this ink works well when stamping an image that you will later color over with watercolors, but it is not ideal for use with alcohol markers.

Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink pad: The Memento™ ink pad gives you another archival quality ink pad that works for any stamping project and can be used with alcohol markers, watercolors, or any of our other coloring options.

CTMH Archival Black Exclusive Ink Pads may be temporarily out but will be back in our inventory very soon.  Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink pads are a new (soon to come) addition to our line and we are very thrilled to offer these and all the others for the perfect stamping solution for all your stamping projects.
