We are expecting our very 1st Grandbaby (obviously a little girl) in just a couple of weeks! We are ecstatic! Now for as LONG as this 9 months has dragged out - I thought I'd have all kinds of scrapbook pages made...well, I have about 6 :-( -- but I'm workin' on it! I think it will be easier once I have pictures - and we're not allowed to know her name yet (I know...excuses, excuses!)

Anyway, this is one of the layouts I made. I found the paper at HobbyLobby and remembered the adorable little shoes from the Kates ABC's Cartridge and knew it would be a perfect match! I love how it turned out! Though it may not show up well in the picture, I have added LOTS of Bling! I promise I'll get the other pages posted very soon! It has been so much fun already! I can only imagine how much fun it will be when there is actually A BABY! Ooohh! I can't wait!

Crcut Circle Challange - Tic Tac Toe entry

The May Challange at the Circle Blog is to come up with a project from a list of options in a Tic Tac Toe list. You needed to select 3 options in a row (I haven't inserted the option list). I selected the 3rd row for my entry. They include 1.) Use a CUT flower shape, 2.) Use a Cuttlebug to Emboss, and 3). Use any patterned paper printer on the IMAGINE.

I've been needing to make a book for my parents 50th Anniversary Party, so I thought this contest would help inspire me. We are all writing personal letters to my Mom and Dad, and I wanted to make something very special to put the lettes in. I decided on a 6x6 mini album.

The front cover has gems on it and some silk flowers from Michaels.

I used the last shape on the Lacy Labels Cart to make the 2 layers for the photo on the left and MS Seasonal Cake Art for the "Mom and Dad" cut.

I used a Spellbinders Die to cut and emboss the shape on the right. The bottom layer of the flowers (Mothers Day - Seasonal 2010) and all the photo background layers are cut from paper I printed on the Imagine More Cartridge. I used that same paper for the butterfly also, but I used glitter and embossing powder on it, so it looks like totally different paper.

For the envelope "Pages" by I cut 6x12 pieces of cardstock and folded them in half. I then made flaps out of a corresponding cardstock and glueed it to the back of that pape, creating an envelope. I secured the flaps with small circles and string, then put each person's name on each envelope. We will just tuck the letters inside each page. They are all done alike, but this will shows a little sample of the variety. On the left of each page is the Imagine More photo base and an embossed top piece where I'll put picutures of everyone.

How do you organize YOUR stuff?

The April Circle Magazine Challange is to show at least 4 ways you store your Provo Craft and Cricut supplies. Here are a few pictures of how I store some things!

My husband is pretty awesome when it comes to my hair-brained ideas. I think 'em up and he is always so great about making them. This is a shelf I came up with for my Cricut and Imagine Carts. I love having them all right out there to easily see.

I have sort of a built in "table" so my shelves are up off the floor. We made them high enough for the plastic drawers to slide under. This made a perfect place to add a long shelf for my ribbon. I use my ribbon A LOT more since it's all displayed.

I use a small basket for my overlays and sit it on one of my shelves. I tend to us my Gypsy a lot, so I don't pull out the overlays all that often.

I found a sturdy "pink" perfume bottle box that is perfect for all those small cuddlebug folders and dies. They are easy to store and it allows me to sort through them quickly!

Since I have the long ribbon shelf, I found a great place for my Martha Stewart Punches.

The first thing I do when I get a new Imagine Cartridge is make these little 4" booklets. I print and cut a 4" square of each of the patterned prints on the cartridge and than paste 4 - 1" squares per page of the colors in that particular color pallet. It makes it so convenient when I'm looking for a print that matches my project, to just grab a book and know that those will be the exact colors that print out.

Getting started on Valentines

It won't be long before Valentines Day is here! I'm posting one of the cards I've made so far this month. I used a Heart on Cindy Loo and made a shadow using Make The Cut software. I finished it using an embossed background, a flower gem, and added some stitching lines and a few punched out flowers. I made a matching envelope and used a CTMH Stamp in the corner to go with the card. I hope you all are able to make your favorite Valentines a special card!

Progressive Dinner Invitation

The month of October is National Pastor Appreciation Month. Some of the small groups in our church are having a progressive dinner at the end of the month for our pastors and wives. A different pastor will be honored at each of the homes they stop in. I made these invitations to send out this year. I'm not sure how much they resemble a plate - but I'm hoping they'll get the idea!

Halloween Treats

Hi everyone! Well it seems that Halloween is nearly here. I have been busy making Treats for my Daughter to give to her 4th grade students. I love these little candy bags that hold M&M's or Skittles. I made these by cutting orange scalloped circles at 4" and then the Spiderweb from PUMPKIN CARVINGS at 3 1/2" out of black glitter paper. The Spiders are from OCTOBER 31st cut at 2". For the pumpkins, I found an adorable Halloween paper pack at Michaels from K&Company called Halloween. It was even on clearance for 50%. The ribbon was from Michaels, as well. There were a lot of fun to make and though the picture is a bit dark, I think they turned out adorable!

Cricut Circle Blog Weekly Challange - Oct. 1

This is a card I made for the Cricut Circle Blog Weekly Challenge. I'm not all that happy with it - but it's okay! you were to make something using the Cricut Circle Exclusive Cartridge "French Manor" and add some bling. I also used the Imagine More Cartridge for the background paper and the butterflies. The "Merci" oval is cut from French Manor and filled in with a corresponding print from Imagine. I outlined the butterflies with a glitter pen but it doesn't show up well in the picture.

My other project for the week was my new Cricut Cartridge Shelf. I LOVE IT! Now I have all my carts right by my table so I can easily grab the one I want! We used a pre-cut white shelf board from Home Depot that measured 12"x36" and trim pieces for the shelves. My husband cut the 12" shelf strips for me with a little hand saw and then I glued them on with wood glue!

Challange using the IMAGINE

I am loving working with my Imagine. It is incredible and has been so much fun! Today I made a card for Robyn's challenge over at My Pink Stamper. You were supposed to use the Imagine and BLING up your project. I used the Nursery Tales cart and cut the card at 4.5" then deleted the colored background. I cut additional butterflies so I could pop dot them and dressed them up with a glitter pen and clear gems. I took the white layer and attached it to card made from printed card stock. I trimmed around the card with scalloped scissors and tied a ribbon around the top.

The other night I had a shower to go to and honestly made the little Baby Card below in about 5 mins. It was easy and I think it turned out so cute. The onesie was cut at 6" and the Little Stinker picture was cut as a layer. I deleted all the other layers. I put the onesie on top of a folded card and then cut around it and used pop dots to attach the picture. I attached 3 eyelets for the snaps. SOOO cute!

Cricut Vinyl Craft Room Projects

I wanted to do some Vinyl designs for my craft room so here are 3 things I came up with. I used brown vinyl and the 12X24" mat to make the letters as large as possible. I used Make The Cut software and used Fonts I had on my computer. I'd seen the top two in one of those wall decor catalogs and "scraplifted" them as closely as I could. The butterflies are from Lyrical Letters. It was a lot of fun making these! This whole Vinyl thing is addictive; I might just do my WHOLE house in vinyl! ...NOT!

Hey everyone! I have a little "Froggie Hello" card to share with you today. I am part of a group of 11 ladies who get together once a month and have a wonderful time together! We make cards and other wonderful paper crafts and recently we've decided to have a different theme each month and we would each make 10 cards to exchange! This month was Hello - and this is the card I made! It was just like CHRISTMAS! We have so much fun together and I love my awesome group of friends! I truly look forward to our times together! Back from Ecuador....and a quick Anv. Card

Well...we're back from Ecuador and I wanted to post a quick 5th Anv. Card (the 5th year is "wood"). For some reason, I can't find the inside shot of the card in my pictures, but it said ..."have a great 5th Anniversary!" So sorry, I'm still trying to get back in to the swing of things. I promise I'll get my act together and start posting again soon! Being gone and then coming back and trying to get going again - whew! It seems to be taking longer than expected!
I think it's just the crazy summer months!

Anyway - This cut is from the SWEETHEARTS Cartridge - Key 9. I wanted to do somthing for the couple that had WOOD in it ...and this is what I came up with! Hope you enjoy!

Grad Book - A Senior Year

Hi everyone,

For many of us, Graduation is over, but I wanted to post one more project that was a lot of fun to do. I used an Accordion Chipboard book and covered each page with printed paper. Some, the whole pages are covered, and others, I divided in half with corresponding paper. This first photo shows the front cover. I added the graduates name in the lower right corner after the picture.

I attached twill under the paper of the front and the back covers so the book would tie together.

It was a lot of fun making pages that emphasized the highlights of the school year!

I added plenty of journaling blocks so she could go through and add special comments to go along with the photos.

This will be my last post for a while. We're off to Ecuador in the morning for a Mission Trip with a group from our church. There are 16 of us going. Please pray for us if it comes to mind! I am soooo excited....but I refuse to eat GUINEA PIG! Ugh!

Whimsical Graduation Card

Happy Monday everyone! Today I'm, posting another Grad card, though this one is a bit different. It was for an 8th grade promotion - so I wanted it to be fun and whimsical! The colors don't show up well in the photo, but they are all bright neons...a favorite for this a particular 8 grader! The young lady was done with button 3 on the Forever Young Cartridge at 5". All the accessories were added (still set at 5") and I attached a Cap from Everyday Paperdolls, button 29+shift. I thought it added a nice touch! I ran the dress through the polkadots Cuddlebug folder and added bling using a glitter pen and a little gem on the purse. The Zig Zag paper is from K&Commpany's Citronella paper pack; a favorite of mine lately, with lots of fun fruity glitter papers! The ribbon is from the $1 Bins at Michaels - and for the lace, I used Basic Cakes, button 43. This is a great cart for elegant, lacy borders. On another project, I used this same cut and flipped one piece then welded them together. It made a really nice floral circle border that resembled some of the Martha Stewart punches just a little. What a fun card to make! Have a super day!

Cards! Cards! Cards!

Today's project doesn't use the Cricut a whole lot, but it is just too fun not to share! I found this Debbie Mumm - Premium Prints 12" paper pack at JoAnns a couple of weeks ago for 70% off (I KNOW, right?) I had no idea what I was going to do with it, but who can resist a bargain? So I bought TWO...and I'm so glad I did!

A couple nights ago I pulled it out, and no kidding, created over 20 cards in about an hour! You'll see how in a sec.! There are a lot glittery pages in the book (I LOVE bling!) and several pages have these adorable animals with 24 of them on the page!

I started cutting them apart, layering them, and adding ribbon. I just kept going and going. My cards went together SO quick! Not only that...they were way easy and so much fun! I've highlighted a few so you can take a look. Some I made into full size cards and the smaller ones will be perfect for baby shower gifts. I did use my Cricut to cut a few words and my Cuddlebug to emboss a few backgrounds. I hope you're able to find this great bargin at your JoAnns too!

Graduation Gift Card 1

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend. It's been longer than I'd like since I last posted a card...but, Oh my, it's been crazy around here!

Here is a quick Graduation Card I want to share. Using the Cricut, I used Beyond Birthdays to cut the Congratulations. I cut it at 5" thinking it would fit the entire front of my card, but it actually cut out at 4.75". I ended up liking how it turned out though. It just gave me a small mat around the edges.
The star is a layer and I attached it with a Pop Dot and outlined it with a Glitter Pen. I LOVE Glitter Pens and use them a lot!

I used Everyday Paperdolls for the Hat and the Diploma. The Hat and the Tassle are placed side by side in the cut, and it measures both together when caluculating, so if you want a 2" hat you'll need to set the dial at 2.5". I finished the diploma off with ribbon and attached both pieces with Pop Dots. The name is cut with Lyrical Letters.

One of the fastest ways I've found to make a Gift Card without going to a ton of work, is by attaching a piece of card stock in the lower right corner inside the card. Just place 1/4" double sided tape along both outter edges. This allows you to slip a gift card right in the corner. Very quick and easy! Sorry the pictures doesn't show this very clearly - but I'm sure you get the idea! All that's left is the sentiment, which I'll do later!

With Graduation fast approaching, I thought I'd show a very simple Graduation Layout. The printed paper is Colonial White Cardstock from CTMH and I did some Random Stamping on it in the school colors. This is a great way to create your own original printed paper exactly how you want it!

For the three images on the right page, I used the same stamps and cut them out and added pop dots to give them a 3D look. You could easily cut images from Cricut Cartridges instead. Locker talk and Everyday Paperdolls have some great Grad. images. And if you haven't seen the awesome corners on the Straight From the Heart Cartridge, you'll want to click HERE to view the handbook! You will love them!

Clear Stamps - Ladybug Card

I made this adorable little ladybug to match some glitterbug paper I had ...and wouldn't you know, I can't for the life of me remember which Cricut Cart I used to cut it. So...if your heart is set on a cute ladybug, there is an adorable one on the Paisley Cart - button #4, the Doodlecharms Cart - button #13 , and Just because Cards - button #25.

I used an awesome stamp from ClearStamps for the Christian sentiment and the edges are finished with Martha Stewart punches. The sheer polka-dot ribbon tied in beautifully (no pun intended!)

Just Because Cards - Card #1

This CUTE paper is from K& Company, called Citronella. I wanted to make one of the Just Because Cards and chose the lemons and strawberry paper. I cut card number one (the car, button 1, pg. 24) and the corresponding envelope. You have to cut the envelope first and then see how large to make the card. This card cut at 3". I used Design Studio so I could elimate all the tic marks. It's quite easy to know where to fold the card and envelope - and I prefer not having all the slits cut in them! Just use Hide Selected Contour to do this! If you have a question - don't hesitate to email. I will eventually finish the card - but it was so cute already - without adding a thing - I thought it was a great example of a very quick and easy card!
