This great CTMH Display Tray is so versatile.  I used the Nevermore Paper Pack and LOTS of Cricut cuts to create this great Halloween home decor.  I can hardly wait to make another one for Thanksgiving using the beautiful fall colors of the Sangria Papers - and then another with the festive Christmas papers in White Pines!  Be sure to come back and check them out!

(Ghirardelli Chocolate) Pumpkin Favor - CTMH Artiste

I Love this cute little Pumpkin Favor - and it was so quick to put together!

This little cutie was cut using the CTMH Artiste Cartridge at 6.8" and 2 Ghirardelli Chocolates will fit in sideways. I embossed it and sponged the edges to make it pop.  For the "Stem" I used Burlap Ribbon from Target's $1 section.  You will find the product list and cut sizes below.  These would be a great addition to your Thanksgiving table setting!
I want to thank the ladies from the CricutWithHeart Blog for posting this creative inspiration on Pinterest!

Pumpkin Base  Artiste #M3A88D Box
                      6.5" (Width) 6.8" (Height)

Know anyone with a New Home? Check out this card!

For the Design Space link click HERE!
Please leave a comment if you enjoy this file!
Hi Everyone!
I hope you had a FANTASTIC 3-Day Weekend!  I've been in my craft room working on some cards and I wanted to share one with you.  It is a 5"x 7" (my preference) Card for a friend who just purchased a new home.

I started with a 10" x 7" piece of white Card stock for the base then scored and folded it in half.  The Mat Layer is cut from GLACIER Cardstock at 4.9" x 6.8" - or just cut a 5" x 7" and trim a bit off the sides to have the white showing as a small border.  Next, cut  another layer of white at about 4.6" x 5.1" (or eyeball this as well.

For the Starburst layer - you can select 3-4 prints of paper of your choice - or use up some of those 2" scraps that we all tend to save.  You'll want to cut them as shown in the left picture below, and randomly layer them as shown on the right.  Make sure the corner pieces are long enough to reach to the corner.

It's okay for the pieces to hang off the edge - You're going to snip those overhanging pieces off flush with the edge anyway.
Next, layer the base, glacier mat, and sunburst layer.
Welcome Tag:
This tag is cut with the CTMH "Artistry" Cartridge.  I LOVE this cartridge and can see myself using it for all sorts of cards.  If you don't have it - please shop with me.  You can even getting it digitally at a lower cost and have immediate access!

The layers are as follows:
Shape:   #M416DFB  page 26 - Cut left version of "SHAPE" only.
1 each of 2.3"   2.6"   and  3.23"  Note:  Largest layer is Embossed.
Banner:  #M4184959  3/4"
For the Paper, I used the gorgeous papers from the Zoe Paper Pack and also the new GOLD Glitter Paper in the new Annual Inspirations.

I used Dimensionals to pop up the Shape and some Gold thin thread around the base.  The cute Gold Buttons are these awesome Bling Gems that I use a LOT!

The Stamps I used are A1179 Housewarming Hello and C1596 Happy Hexagons.
The Sentiment was stamped in Saffron and traced with a glitter pen.

I hope you enjoy the card.  PLEASE like and leave a comment.  Your COMMENTS mean SO MUCH TO ME!!!!

Have a great week!

Understanding different types of INK PADS

If you're like me, sometimes it's hard to know which Ink to use when! Here is an overview of the Ink Pads that CTMH carries and when best to use them!

CTMH Exclusive Inks™ stamppads: Our Exclusive Inks™ stamp pads, including our Black Exclusive Inks pads, are water-based dye inks. The dye ink absorbs directly into your paper and allows the colors to blend easily with the material. They dry quickly and blend easily. These inks are recommended for most stamping projects, but not for projects where you plan on using watercolors or coloring with alcohol markers after stamping the image.

CTMH Archival BlackExclusive Inks™ stamp pad: Our Archival Black Exclusive Inks™ stamp pad is our archival ink offering. This pad quickly sets an image that you can then color in using watercolor pencils, watercolors, or water-based inks with the blending pen.

CTMHExclusive Inks™ Mini Pigment Pad Sets: Pigment inks behave differently from dye inks, in that they settle on top of your material rather than soaking into it. This allows you to stamp lighter colors on darker materials and to keep the true color of the ink pad when stamping on another color. Though they take longer to dry, when dried, they work well for coloring in with your markers or watercolor inks, as the pigment inks will form a permanent bond and will resist blending when you color over them.

StazOn™ ink pad: StazOn™ is specifically formulated for stamping on non-porous materials. Because StazOn is solvent-based, this ink works well when stamping an image that you will later color over with watercolors, but it is not ideal for use with alcohol markers.

Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink pad: The Memento™ ink pad gives you another archival quality ink pad that works for any stamping project and can be used with alcohol markers, watercolors, or any of our other coloring options.

CTMH Archival Black Exclusive Ink Pads may be temporarily out but will be back in our inventory very soon.  Memento™ Tuxedo Black ink pads are a new (soon to come) addition to our line and we are very thrilled to offer these and all the others for the perfect stamping solution for all your stamping projects.

I LOVE New Catalogs!!!

I am SO Excited to start sharing the NEW Close To My Heart products with you!

I know you're going to LOVE THEM TOO!

Time for Weddings and Showers!

I recently made this card for a Wedding Shower I attended. I saw a similar one on Pinterest and thought it was so so pretty. I didn't have the dies to make the dress form so I searched for a photo online, imported it into Design Space and cut it with my Cricut Explore! I LOVE THAT MACHINE! The gift was from BED BATH BEYOND... so obviously I chose "BBB purple" for my color! The skirt is a folded paper doily and I rolled ribbon to make a very TINY rose.  I embossed the white base with a beautiful CTMH embossing folder - their's are gorgeous with VERY DEEP embossing - and wal-ah!  I love how it turned out! The Card measures 5" x 7"

Ice Cream Dreams - June Stamp of the Month

Yummy, Ice Cream!

Here is a quick card I made Tonight with the Close to My Heart June Stamp of the Month "Ice Cream Dream" and the Seaside Paper Pack. It's a really cute summer stamp and you can get one for just $5.00 when you place a qualifying order of $50.00 or more at CTMH.  Just hover over the item name and you can go check them out! I used the ShinHan Markers to add a little color to the Sentiments and the Ice Cream Sundae.  Other items used were the Glacier Extra Thick Twine and the Boardwalk Washi Tap - both found in the Season Expressions that is active until August.  My Card was cut at 6 1/2 " x 9".  I think you'll find this to be a really cute stamp set!

Masculine Card

Great Card for the Guy in your life! This Card is great for Father's Day coming up June 21st.  I used white card stock that measure 12" x 7" and scored it at 5" and again at 10" - this gave me a 5X7 Card with a 2" Bookmark attached.  The papers I used are from CTMH "Heart Strings" from the 1st suppliment catalog (no longer available - but any masculine paper could easily be substituted!  I just had some scraps leftover, as I'm sure many of you do as well!  Punch a whole in the Book Mark and tie on some Bakers Twine of your choice.   Hope you all have a great start to your summer!  PLEASE LEAVE A COMMENT if you like this card!   I LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!

Stamp  - Hostess Stamp C1593  (can be purchased with Hostess Rewards)

Have a little "Taste of Summer"

2 Cards w/ "Taste of Summer" Paper & Stamp

Here are a couple of cards I made using the TASTE OF SUMMER Paper Pack & the coordinating Stamp Set.  This is a Special Paper Pack you can only purchase during the Month of MAY - at the special price of just $8.95. The Card on the Left has Directions below.  The Card on the right is cut using the CTMH Artfully Sent Cartridge.  These Cards are GREAT because you can cut them ANY SIZE.  This one is cut to fit in an A2 Envelope.

                                                                                                                         Shop Here
This is the Cutting Guide
This is the Scoring Guide

Step 1.
Score the Honey Card Stock across the long side.  Starting from the Left - Score @ 1/2",  2",  4",  5 1/2"
Fold on Scorelines.

Step 1b.
Adhere 1 Purple 4" x 5 1/4" to (un-scored side) of Honey.  Then attach Green Lemon Paper on top of that.  The other Purple and the 3 3/4" x 5" White piece will go on the back of the card.

Step 3.
Put adhesive on the small tab and lay the card flat as shown to attach it in the correct spot of the Green lemon piece.

Step 4.
Adhere Yellow striped 1 3/4" x 4" piece to the card as shown and put adhesive on just the LEFT side (3" part) of the purple.  Attach it on top of Yellow Striped lining up the bottom of the card and centering it.  Puadhesive on the small tab.

Step 5.
Lay the Card flat as shown to attach it in the correct spot.
Step 6.
The card is ready to decorate.

I used the Cricut to cut out the Words on the front of the card and used the coordinating Stamp set to Stamp the Lemons.  Then I used Clear Embossing Powder over the top, cut them out and used Pop Dots to attach.

The Back of the Card is decorated using B1452 Funky Blossoms and Inks Honey, Gypsy, and Juniper.

Wedding Shower Card

A FREE Cricut Design Space File - Wedding Shower Card

I saw this Card on Pinterest and wanted to make a Design Space File for it.  All of the cuts are FREE Images.  I embossed the back White Layer with the CTMH Heart Embossing Folder Z3018 and the Towels with a Stampin Up Embossing Folder (email me for more details).  I used a green Pilot Precise V5 Pen for the lettering, although the font is a little different on the "Mr. & Mrs." in this file, so it could be shared. Please let me know if you encounter any cutting problems in Design Space with the file.  Note:  Be sure to watch when to insert the Score Tool and the Pen.  They tend to sneak up on you!

My First Card using my iPad! YIPPEE! LOVE IT!

I am going to LOVE this whole iPad creating!!! Oh Yeah!!!!

Can I just say I'm going to LOVE using my iPad Air with my Cricut Explore!  This is one of the first cards I made from the Make It Now collection in Cricut Design Space.  It turned out sooo pretty...and they go OH SO FAST!  I've already made 6 of them.  I realized that this card is actually a combination of two different cards and there is a fee.
Sorry about that!

This one I made a little larger by selecting the entire file (Select ALL) and dragging it to the size I wanted, then cut it with this awesome shimmer paper I found at Michaels.  I added some extra greenery - but really about anything you do to this card will be beautiful!  You do NOT need an iPad to make this project.  Just look for it in the Make It Now Projects!

Better late than never!

...and then there was Valentines Day!!!!

These pictures are horribly late - but none-the-less - here are a couple of things I made for Valentines day.

The Gift Bags were from Wal-Mart and I simply made the Tags using the Cricut to match the Bags.  I thought they added a nice personalized touch. If you need more info on the cuts, just send me a quick email and I'll try to figure out which ones I used! :-)

The Favors were for my Granddaughter to take to Preschool.  I thought about cutting the Mason Jars w/ the Cricut Explore Print then Cut, but really it worked best to just print them on white card stock and cut a hole in the center.  I did back of the "jar" with a piece of acetate so the candy oils wouldn't leak through.  The jars fit nicely into those plastic jewelry bags you can pick up about anywhere. Tuck in a few Gummy Worms and Wallah! I put a piece of double sided tape at the top back of the bag so the worms wouldn't escape. I will include the jpeg if anyone wants to try these.  They are super easy and go together really quickly.  I think I used the little 3" x 4" bags.
